AHAP BADMINTON TOURNAMENT RULES
1. ELIMINATION ROUND
Each category will be divided into brackets of 3–4 pairs only.
The top 2 teams from each bracket will advance to the Qualifying Round.
Scoring format: 1–31, no slide.
No tie-break.
In case of a double tie (matches won), the “win-over-the-other” rule shall apply.
In case of a triple tie, the total points earned by each pair shall be computed to determine the advancing team.

2. QUALIFYING ROUND (Pre-Quarterfinals)
A draw lots will be conducted to determine pairings until only 4 pairs remain, who will then proceed to the Semifinals.
Scoring format: 1–31, no slide.
No tie-break. No slide.

3. SEMIFINAL ROUND
Winning pairs shall advance to the Championship Round.
Losing pairs shall be considered eliminated.
Scoring format: 1–31, no slide.
No tie-break.

4. CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
Scoring format: 1–35, no slide.
Winner will be declared Champion.
Runner-up will be declared 1st Runner-Up.

5. DEFAULTING TIME
Players are encouraged to arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before their scheduled match. Matches may start earlier than posted.
A player/pair who fails to appear within 10 minutes after the announcement of their match will automatically lose by default.
Players are also encouraged to perform stretching and warm-up exercises before their match to avoid delays.

6. REGISTRATION FEE
All players must settle their registration fee on or before September 18, 2025 (4:00 PM).
No refund will be given for cancellations made after the deadline.

7. MATCH SCHEDULE
Games shall start at 8:00 AM daily and will end depending on match progress.
All levels will be played as scheduled, from Elimination to Awarding.

IMPORTANT NOTES
It is the responsibility of all players to check their match schedules and abide by the posted guidelines.
In all matters not covered by these rules, the decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final.
All leveling and bracketing have undergone careful screening and are considered final and executory.
No complaints regarding leveling or bracketing will be entertained during the tournament.

However, any player found by the management to be competing in a category that does not fit their appropriate level, age, or qualification will be removed from the tournament.
