General Benjamin Madrigal Jr. is a retired Filipino general who currently serves as the Deputy Director General and Chief of Staff of the National Security Council (NSC) of the Philippines, a post he was appointed to on February 28, 2023.
Before his current role, his distinguished military career included serving as the 51st Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) from December 2018 until his retirement in September 2019.

Current Role: As the Deputy Director General of the NSC, he has been involved in high-level discussions regarding national security, including emphasizing the importance of the West Philippine Sea for the country's future generations.

He also holds a Master of Management Studies from the University of New South Wales in Australia, which he earned through a defense cooperation program scholarship.
