A solemn moment with the Holy Trinity. We continue to adore the Triune God with all our heart, with all our mind and with all our soul. We are grateful to San Lorenzo Ruiz chapter for opening your parish door to us. You do not only have a beautiful Church; you have very beautiful hearts!
“ Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:8-10 )

To our beloved Adorers and Youth Adorers,
Your generosity, time, and effort made our gift-giving activity a true blessing. Because of your big hearts, we were able to bring joy to our two spiritual dirrctors, Fr. Jopax and Fr. James, ang give comfort to our dear acolytes whose house burned down. In a moment of loss, you reminded them that they are not alone — that the Church is family. To every Adorer, youth Adorer, and donor, including those who gave quietly and anonymously, thank you. Your kindness and support did not go unnoticed. You turned compassion into action.

We praise the Holy Trinity for His amazing blessings poured out through you. God’s love became visible in every gift, every hour you spent, and every prayer you offered. May He repay you a hundredfold for the kindness you’ve shown. With all our love and gratitude, we thank you for being His hands and heart to those in need.

Sunday Reflection: Nothing can serve as a sufficient example to explain the Blessed Trinity. That is why it is the greatest mystery of our Holy faith.

Yes, let's go deeper without broken analogies:

The Church Fathers used relationships + language instead.

“Person” ≠ “Individual human”
This is where most confusion starts.
For us, “3 persons” = 3 humans like Pedro, Juan, Maria. Separate bodies, separate minds.

The Holy Trinity, “Person” = “Relationship”.
St. Augustine + Cappadocian Fathers said: Father, Son, Spirit aren’t 3 separate gods. They’re 3 ways of relating within the one God.

Father = the Source, the One who begets
Son = the Word/Reason begotten from the Father, John 1:1
Spirit = the Love/Breath that proceeds from Father & Son

In God, the relationships of the there Person are so perfect + eternal that each “relation” is a full Person. One God, one Nature.

“One Being, Three Subsistences”
St. Thomas Aquinas put it this way: God’s “what He is” = 1. That’s His divine nature/being.
God’s “who He is” = 3. That’s the 3 Persons/subsistences.

Analogy fails, so the early Church Fathers used grammar: “God” is the noun, “Father/Son/Spirit” are the pronouns. One subject, three ways He reveals Himself.

The Trinity = Eternal Love Story
This is the part that we feel, not just think:
John 17:24 Jesus prays, “Father, you loved me before the foundation of the world”.
Meaning: Before anything was created, God was already giving + receiving love. Father loves Son, Son loves Father, Spirit is that Love itself.

We humans are born “in His image” - Genesis 1:27. We are an Image because we’re made for relationship, self-giving love, communion. Trinity is the blueprint.

Addressing common confusions:
“Jesus praying to Father = 2 gods?”
No. That shows distinction of Persons, not division of God. The Son, as human + divine, talks to the Father. Same God, different Persons relating.

“Which one do I pray to?”
All 3. Catholics pray “Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit”. You can talk to Jesus, or ask the Spirit for help, or pray “Our Father”. They work together. John 14:9 “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father”.

“3 in 1 is math error 1+1+1=1?”
Math is for quantities. God isn’t a quantity. It’s like asking “How much is love + love + love?” Wrong category. Trinity is about nature vs person, not math.

Bottom line from the early Church Fathers: We can’t fully “understand” Trinity. But we can know it by living in it — through prayer, love, community. Mystery doesn’t mean “stop thinking”. It means “there’s always more to discover”.

Look: the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity was celebrated by the different chapters in the Archdiocese of Jaro, Iloilo with faith, fellowship, and service. Though each chapter had its own setting, the spirit was one: honoring God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as the center of community life.

Most chapters began with a Eucharistic celebration in their parish or chapel. Members renewed their commitment to live as one community, patterned after the unity of the Trinity - “distinct, yet one.” Homilies focused on love, unity.

The day ended with simple meals and sharing.
No grand events, just ordinary members living the truth that “God is relationship.” From small prayer groups to large chapter assemblies, May 31 became a reminder that when we love and serve together, we reflect the Trinity here in Iloilo.
