As the UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy, Iloilo shares cooking demonstrations for chevon meat (goat meat) quesadilla and langka spaghetti with Chef Pauline Gorriceta-Banusing, Ted's Lapaz Batchoy, and the famous Sta. Barbara's bayi-bayi and linopak that we can try at home.

It's with great pride that we kick off our Festival of Food led by the Iloilo City Government through Iloilo City MICE Center Director Salvador D. Sarabia, Jr., Festive Walk Mall Manager Karmela Jesena, and Iloilo Conventions and Visitors Bureau President John Frederick S. Sarabia.

Distinguished guests included UNESCO Secretary General Ivan Henares, DOT Regional Director Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez, ECCP Vice President and Chair of the Food & Beverage Committee Chair, Helen Grace Baisa, Assistant City Tourism Officer, Lea Lara, City Agriculture Department Head, Iñigo Garingalao, Celebrity Chef, Victor Neri, Iloilo City Councilors, other LGU Mayors, and stakeholders.

Honoring the culinary excellence of the region, the festival serves as a gathering for food enthusiasts from nearby towns and assures an exciting event with a lineup of activities showcasing the best of Ilonggo gastronomy. From April 26 to April 30, the 5-day event, with the support of major sponsors, promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees, highlighting the rich culinary heritage of Iloilo.
