GensanTri 51.5 Gensan Tri 51.5: 2016 is a two-day nation-wide triathlon event.

It is a multi-disciplinary race (swim, bike and run) covering a 51.5 km route around General Santos City’s business district and its surrounding barangays. The triathlon is an opportunity for outdoor sports enthusiasts and the triathletes in the country to gather in a friendly environment. It is an ideal tool for promoting Gensan’s tourism and bringing awareness on eco-friendly processes among generals.

Greenleaf Hotel Brings Honor to General Santos at Philippine Tourism Awards 2025

General Santos City proudly celebrates another milestone as Greenleaf Hotel Gensan received the Tourism Industry Award for Hotel during the Philippine Tourism Awards 2025 held today, September 8, 2025 at Okada Manila, Parañaque City.

This study assesses the adequacy of school infrastructure in the Philippine basic education sector while benchmarking it against developmental targets and other countries’ performance. It finds that with respect to classrooms, there has been progress in decongesting schools, but spatial inequality in the classroom-student ratio persists and requires attention.
