I normally don’t respond to negative reviews, but because this review contains personal attacks on me and my wife character and faith, I feel it’s important to provide some context.

One part of the review I do want to address is the accusation that we are motivated by the love of money.

Anyone who has followed us over the past several years knows that isn’t our story.

We spent a year operating at a loss, investing our own savings just to keep the doors open. Only recently has the business become sustainable enough to allow us to start community outreaches and worship crusades again. The photo below is from one of those recent outreaches July 3. Seeing lives touched by the gospel has always been a much greater reward to us than making a profit.

I’d also like to clarify the comment about “long-term club bookings.”

When Epicenter had 8 badminton courts, we were able to accommodate many regular badminton clubs. Today, , we only have 4 badminton courts after converting the other four to pickleball. Because our badminton capacity has been cut in half, it is simply no longer possible for us to accommodate every club the way we once did. While we understand this has disappointed some groups, ,it is the reality of having only four courts available.

Regarding the booking issue, While we regret that it happened, we have already taken steps to prevent it from happening again by changing our reservation system. Bookings are now confirmed through advance payment instead of reserving first and paying later, which previously led to scheduling conflicts and cancellations.

We welcome constructive criticism when we make mistakes and we will always work to improve. What is difficult, however, is having our motives judged and our faith questioned. Quoting 1 Timothy 6:10 to declare that we are driven by the love of money is a judgment that only God can truly make.

We aren’t a perfect business, but we are committed to serving our customers, learning from our mistakes, and using what God has entrusted to us to bless others .
