City Administrator Dwight Domingo, City Sports Director Mikey Aportadera, Jecia Opiana (City Information Office), and Team Davao Runners—Mikhal Evasto (Route Master), Jinky Garcia (Technical Director), Grant Gutierrez (Events Manager), and Roy Salingay (Race Director), as we gear up for the Davao City Trail Ultra.

DAVAO SPORTS OFFICE, NAGTUTOK SA SPORTS TOURISM UG COMMUNITY BOOST PINAAGI SA UNANG TRAIL RUN SA SYUDAD

Plano sa City Sports Development Division (CSDD) ang usa ka bag-ong sporting event nga maghatag og bag-ong direksyon sa sports tourism sa Davao City pinaagi sa trail running, usa ka matang sa dagan nga lahi sa kasagarang road races.

Matud ni Mikey Aportadera sa CSDD, ang inisyatiba dili lang para sa sports kundi usa sab ka paagi sa pagpalig-on sa komunidad ug pag-abli sa oportunidad sa mga barangay ug local enterprises nga maapil sa kalihukan.

“Gusto nato ipakita ang Davao beyond the roads,” matud niya, nga nagpasabot nga ang focus sa sports development sa syudad naglakip na sa mga rural ug backroad areas nga kasagaran dili maapil sa mainstream events.

Ang proposed route mutabok sa Calinan ug uban pang scenic areas sa Davao City, diin ang mga local communities ug Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) mahimong makabenepisyo pinaagi sa event.

Gilauman nga muabot sa 3,000 ka participants ang maapil sa lain-laing categories gikan beginner hangtud hardcore runners, nga adunay distansya nga mahimong muabot og 50 kilometers.

Dugang ni Aportadera, ang maong kalihukan naglantaw sa pagpalig-on sa sports tourism sa Davao ug pagpakita sa potensyal sa syudad isip host sa world-class trail running events.
