As I take my final bow in my role as Youth and Sports Development Officer, I do so with a heart both heavy and hopeful. Heavy—because the time given to serve was brief. Hopeful—because in that short time, we created moments that will last a lifetime.
It was a privilege I never took lightly: to be entrusted with the task of shaping programs for the youth, of organizing spaces where passion met purpose, and of witnessing young dreams awaken and soar. I came into this role ready to give my all—and though my time was short, every day was filled with meaning.
I had the opportunity to travel to different places—joining trainings, exchanging ideas, and learning from others—all with one purpose: to bring back wisdom and inspiration to the youth of Dauis. Every journey I took was for you, every lesson learned was meant to uplift and empower the next generation.
Even beyond my time in Dauis, I am humbled and honored to have been selected as Secretary of the Bohol Association of Sports Development Officer (BASDO) ~ a role that allows me to continue advocating for youth and sports on a broader scale. This is not just a personal milestone, but a reflection of the collective efforts we built together here in Dauis.
To our young leaders, athletes, and dreamers: I wish I had more time to walk beside you. But even as I step away, know that I remain your biggest supporter. Continue the race, keep the flame alive, and never stop believing in the greatness that lies within you.
My time may be over, but my commitment to the youth and the spirit of Dauis lives on. This is not goodbye, but a quiet promise—I may no longer wear the title, but I will always carry the mission in my heart.
Daghang salamat, Dauis. Padayon ta—with courage, with pride, and with an unwavering love for our community.
With deepest gratitude,
ARBEE MICULOB SUMOBAY
Youth and Sports Development Officer
