Today, we mourn the passing of Cebuano musician, artist, cultural worker, and activist Budoy Marabiles.

Marabiles is best known as the frontman of landmark reggae band, Junior Kilat. He was also an electronic musician and DJ, performing as budoyX.

The Korea Sounds Stage last weekend brought forward meaningful conversations about the indie music scenes in both Korea and the Philippines.

Huge thanks to Joohee Maeng, Saemi Shin, Mariel Abanes, and Yeongjin Kim for sharing their insights and knowledge, fostering ideas that can support the growth of both scenes.

This stage was co-presented by Cebu Art Book Fair, Studio Amping, and SUPERSONIC Studio.

We had a blast at last Sunday’s September Fever: Gayya Stage — titled, Bridging Borders: How Indie Musicians Bring Music and Culture to the World.

We’re incredibly thankful for our speakers KC Salazar of KRNA / Indie CDO, Vincent Eco, Dan Borces of Subsonic Eye, and San the Wordsmith for sharing their important insights on how institutions can support indie communities.
