Last Monday, different representatives from various schools came together to play sports, perform, and gather. Whichever expression it may take: competitive sport, drag, singing, or speech, all called for better education.
We would like to thank our partners: Kabataan Partylist Cebu, UPC, and USC chapters, USC Supreme Student Council, UP Cebu University Student Council, Student Alliance for Nationalism and Democracy (STAND)- USC, Gabriela Youth, Carolinian Political Science Society, Today’s Carolinian, Scire, Student Alliance for a Christian and Real Education under Democracy (SACRED)-USJR, Cebu Young Artists Society for Good Governance, Toledo Independent Network Developers for Good Governance, Coalition of Concerned SWUdents - SWU, Anakbayan - Cebu, League of Filipino Students - Cebu, Kapit Kamay - Alternative Learning Avenue for the Youth - Talisay, Sangguniang Kabataan - Barangay Mabolo, and Sangguniang Kabataan - Barangay Tisa.
This collective enthusiasm and passion for change is only the beginning. As the education crisis worsens, we shall continue to take a stand. We will express our sentiments through sports, arts, and culture, to show that are already patriotic and nationalist in our desire for change. We shall make known our calls for quality and accessible education, in hopes that more will join us.
