Job Vacancy: Program Chair (BS Medical Technology)
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced leader to oversee our Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology program. The successful candidate will drive academic excellence and ensure technical expertise in school management.
• Must be a Registered Medical Technologist in the Philippines with a current and updated PRC license.
• Must be an active member in good standing with the PRC-Accredited Professional Organization for Medical Technologists.
• Must be an active member in good standing with the Association of Schools of Medical Technology.
• Must possess a Master’s Degree focused on Medical Technology, Public Health, Education Administration, or other MT/MLS related programs or Doctor of Medicine with Master’s degree in Medical Technology, Public Health, or Education Administration (including Educational Management, Administration, and Leadership).
• With at least five (5) years of "very satisfactory" teaching experience specifically in MT/MLS professional courses.
• A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated managerial or supervisory competence and technical expertise in school management.
• The candidate must have no existing teaching assignments or administrative functions in other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐈𝐂𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

As the TRUE ICon 2026 Talks session came to a meaningful close, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗛. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻, Conference Chair and the Dean of the UE Caloocan - College of Arts and Sciences, shared her heartfelt and powerful closing remarks, reflecting on the conference’s journey of collaboration and shared purpose.

More than a conclusion, her words served as a call to continue the conversations and partnerships beyond the event.

Macam Jr. and Dr. Louie A. Divinagracia, To the Presidents and officers of our partner institutions, distinguished speakers, UE Deans, Directors and other UE officers, presenters, and participants, Ladies and gentlemen: Good morning.

I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to the leadership that made TRUE ICON 2026 possible. We thank UE President Dr. Zosimo M. Battad and Chancellor Dr. Victor R. Macam Jr. for their trust and approval of this conference.

We are deeply honored by the support of our Co-Convenors: Soka University, Maejo University, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, the University of Kratie, INTI International College Penang, Mindanao State University – General Santos, and the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST).

I must make a special mention of CFCST President Dr. Ali Dilangalen. We are grateful to you and your delegation of twenty members from Mindanao for your unwavering support since the earliest planning stages.

We also acknowledge the vital internal support from UE Caloocan’s College of Engineering under Dean Angelita Guia, the College of Business Administration under Dean Emeteria B. Dalisay, and the College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design under Dean Don S. Amorsolo.

Abantas, Soka University Dean Ichiro Sugimoto, and UE Data Privacy Officer Roselle Basa—thank you for elevating the discourse of this event.

However, the true heartbeat of this conference is you—our 300 participants and the authors of nearly 100 paper submissions. You are the center of this gathering, and we are grateful for your active participation.

This event was brought to life by the hard work of the Steering Committee, which I was honored to co-chair with Dean Angelita Guia, and our dedicated subcommittees. I would like to recognize the team leaders who ensured our success:

The College of Arts and Sciences Manila proudly congratulates Prof. Jemabel G. Sidayen of the Behavioral Sciences Department for winning the Best Research Paper Award during the Talks, Research, Understanding, and Exchange International Conference 2026, or TRUE Icon 2026, held at the University of the East Caloocan Campus on February 12, 2026.

Her study titled “Study Habits as Predictors of Student Engagement Among Junior High School Aeta Students: Basis for a Proposed Learning Program” was recognized as one of the Five Best Research Papers of the conference, highlighting its strong contribution to inclusive education and community-focused research.

The award-winning paper was co-authored with UE Caloocan students Antonia Buyser, Richard Rey Navia, Katrina Coline Bernardo, Mark Emmanuel Ignacio, Shane Ambrosio, and Sophia Kyla Morilla, demonstrating the strength of research engagement across the University of the East community.

With the theme “Innovating for Impact: Collaboration and Sustainability in the New Global Era,” TRUE Icon 2026 gathered researchers and academic leaders committed to promoting relevant and sustainable scholarship.

We commend Prof. Sidayen and her co-authors for bringing pride and distinction to the University of the East. Congratulations on this outstanding academic achievement!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐈𝐂𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞

These photos capture an unfiltered, iconic, and unconventional look at the TRUE ICon 2026 stage across the event’s different segments.

From the very beginning, the registration time already broke away from the ordinary. Bathed in layers of purple, red, blue, and dark tones, the space was fully decorated intended to make a dramatic and memorable welcome. It set the mood early: this was not just an event, but an experience.

TALKS revealed blue, creating a sense of focus and credibility, symbolizing clarity, intellect, and trust. This creates an ideal avenue for meaningful dialogues.

UNDERSTANDING [town hall] session embraced a Gotham City-inspired theme, using darker hues and striking contrasts to reflect real-world complexities and encourage honest, grounded conversations.

EXCHANGE carried an elegant red palette. It is warm, refined, and sophisticated, representing passion, connection, and the graceful flow of collaboration rather than loud intensity.
