Last April 22, 2026, the 𝟏𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐰𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 unfolded with a profound sense of anticipation and celebration, marking an evening dedicated to honoring outstanding contributions in the community. With the theme, “𝐀 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐓: 𝐅𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞,” the event highlighted excellence and impact across various media platforms.
To formally open the program, the event began with a solemn prayer and the singing of the Philippine national anthem, followed by an energetic “Opening Salvo” performed by the BSBA 3rd-year students. This set an enthusiastic yet respectful tone for the evening’s proceedings. Mr. Eugene C. Calumba, the 15th NSCART Adviser, officially welcomed the attendees, expressing gratitude and setting the vision for the event. Following this, Ms. Lorain Ner C. Viscara, the 15th NSCART Chairperson, delivered the rationale, highlighting the importance of the awards in recognizing excellence and its impact on society.
Subsequently, an inspirational message was delivered by Dr. Donald M. Patimo, Dean of the College of Management. His words emphasized the value of responsible media, the role of students in shaping public discourse, and the importance of integrity and innovation in communication and business industries. He encouraged the audience to continue striving for excellence and to use their voices as instruments for positive change.
After the message, the evening’s highlight unfolded with the announcement of nominees and winners across various categories in Local Radio, National TV, Social Media, and Business, showcasing exemplary work in news, entertainment, public service, content creation, and the business industry.
In addition, major sponsors were recognized for their vital support, a testament to the collaborative efforts behind NSCART’s success. The program also featured an intermission performance by Ms. Jean Rose E. Catalan, a BSBA 3rd-year student, adding a touch of artistic flair to the celebration. Plaques were later awarded to major sponsors, followed by expressions of appreciation to both major and minor partners who helped bring the event to life.
Finally, the evening concluded with the giving of certificates to the very people behind the success and organization of the event, recognizing their dedication, hard work, and commitment in making the 15th NSCART a memorable and meaningful celebration.
