Attention to all chess enthusiasts of NISU Batad:
CHED REGIONAL ONLINE CHESS TOURNAMENT
May 20, 2024, 9am - 11am

GUIDELINES:

1.Categories:
The tournament comprises two categories: MEN and WOMEN.

2.Eligibility:
Open to all College students, staff, and faculty currently enrolled or employed with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Region VI.

3.Time Control:
The tournament follows a time control of 5 minutes per player for a 2-hour arena tournament.

4.Registration:
Participants must create an account on lichess.org, including their names and affiliated schools, in their Lichess profile.

5.Women's Category: Women chess players must join the designated Lichess team for women at the following link:

6.Men's Category: Men chess players must join the designated Lichess team for men at the following link:
https://lichess.org/team/ched-regional-office-6-men-chess-team

7.Profile Completeness:
Players' Lichess profiles must contain complete details to be accepted by the admin. (Name, Address & School)

8.Tournament Entry:
Once approved by the admin after joining the respective team link, players can join the tournament using the following links:

9.Fair Play Policy:
Strictly no engine assistance/piloting allowed. Accounts found to be using chess engines, as determined by Lichess, will be disqualified from prize eligibility.

10.Game Commencement:
Participants are reminded to commence their games only upon the official start time of the tournament on the scheduled date.

Tomorrow morning will be the exhibition games for volleyball girls and basketball boys (students vs. faculty &staff)..
Tomorrow afternoon, will be the BESHketball game..

All championship games will be played on february 26, 2024 (2:30-5:00 pm) after the zumba competition..
However, the championship game for basketball girls willbe played this afternoon since we are only using one basketball court for men and women..
