In a strong display of community partnership and volunteerism, the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) – Aurora Chapter, led by Chapter President Engr. Jerick L. Tangson, teamed up with the Aurora Electric Cooperative (AURELCO) and student volunteers from the Electrical Engineering program of ASCOT for this year’s Brigada Eskwela 2025.
The joint outreach activity was held at Rosauro R. Tangson Sr. National High School, located in Barangay San Isidro, San Luis, Aurora. The initiative aimed to support the school maintenance program by preparing classrooms and school facilities ahead of the new academic year.
Electrical Engineering students, alongside professional engineers and AURELCO personnel, provided technical support and manpower to assist in electrical installations, minor repairs, and safety checks within the school premises. Their contribution ensured that the school’s electrical systems were in proper working condition, helping to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students and teachers.
Engr. Jerick L. Tangson expressed his gratitude to all volunteers and partners for their dedication to public service, stating, “This collaboration reflects the true spirit of bayanihan. We believe that as engineers, we have a responsibility to use our skills not only in the field but also in uplifting our communities.”
The successful activity stands as a testament to the value of collaboration between academic institutions, professional organizations, and local cooperatives in promoting education and community welfare.
