Most couples spend months planning the ceremony and reception. The getting-ready morning usually gets planned last, and it’s often where the day starts to feel rushed.

Here’s what couples and suppliers tell us actually makes a difference:

𝟭. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
Set your HMUA call time from your church schedule, not from when you’d like to wake up.

𝟮. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵.
A 10–15 minute drive leaves room for traffic, a late bridesmaid, or a last-minute steam of the gown. A one-hour drive leaves no room for anything.

𝟯. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.
When the bride, groom, and entourage are spread across different hotels or homes, the photographer has to travel between them, the coordinator ends up making phone calls all morning, and someone always runs late.

Your prep photos are some of the most personal shots of the day. Natural light and a nice spot for the gown and details will save your photographer a lot of time.

Every coordinator says this, and couples still skip it. Have breakfast delivered or prepared on-site so nobody walks down the aisle on an empty stomach.

This should be someone who isn’t in the wedding party, who answers supplier calls and keeps track of the timeline, so the couple doesn’t have to.

𝙊𝙠𝙖𝙮, 𝙬𝙚'𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚.

Ralph and Diana showed up, took one look at the bougainvillea, and basically never stopped smiling. Lots of hand-holding, a few tongue-out moments (our favorites, honestly), and one very patient vintage VW that did a lot of posing.

We got the garden path, the log cabin, the fireplace corner, and that old iron railing covered in flowers. Not bad for one early morning shoot. 🌺

Fun fact: we only host one booking a day, so when you're here, the whole place is yours. Nobody photobombing, nobody rushing you. Just you, your photographer, and as many outfit changes as you can fit in.
