En estos momentos difíciles que afrontamos como sociedad global hemos tenido que tomar la difícil decisión de postergar el evento Titikaka Va’a 2020 para el año 2021.

Estamos viendo el tema con los registrados a fin de hacer los reembolsos correspondientes y agradecemos a los muchos atletas que manifestaron su interés por esta carrera.

Titikaka Va’a 2021 será anunciada prontamente.

In these difficult times that we face as a global society, we have taken the very hard decisión of postponing the Titikaka Va’a 2020 race to the year 2021.

We are checking with registered athletes in order to refund the advanced payments done and we thank all the athletes that were interested in our race.

Titikaka Va’a 2021 will be announced promptly.

Titikaka Ultimate Va'a registration opened.

Program includes:

* 7 nights lodging (with breakfasts):
3 nights before the race 18, 19, 20 May,
2 nights homestay during the race,
2 nights after the race 23, 24 May

* Airport transfers to/from Juliaca (JUL)
* The Race 21, 22, 23 May. Race includes:
* 1 V6 canoe per registered team (min 6, max 8 athletes)
* 1 Safety boat each 3 canoes, boats carry an oxygen tank each
* Local guide assigned per boat
* Emergency medical assistance
* Land transfers to/from hotel to port
* 3 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts during race
* 2 nights homestay with local families in lake Titikaka
* Race closing dance.

Teams can register up to 8 paddlers; every paddler has to paddle a minimum of 2 legs during the 3 day (4 legs) race.
Companions are welcome: partners, friends, fans, etc.; they can join the race and follow it on board the safety boats and share the experience of the beautiful lake Titikaka and their welcoming local families.

Isla Taquile
La isla Taquile está ubicada al frente de las penínsulas de Chucuito y Capachica. Sus costas son escarpadas y su población principal se encuentra a 140 metros sobre el nivel del lago. Forma parte del distrito insular de Amantaní en la provincia de Puno. La isla está situada a 45 km de Puno la capital regional, cuenta con una población aproximada de 2,200 habitantes y es la segunda isla más extensa (5,72 km²) del lago en su parte peruana después de Amantaní. Gracias al efecto termorregulador del lago, en la isla existe un microclima que es favorable a la agricultura. Sus textiles, únicos en su tipo son considerados patrimonio inmaterial de la humanidad.

Taquile island
The island of Taquile is located in lake Titikaka in front of the peninsulas of Chucuito and Capachicca. Its coasts are sharp and its main town is located 460 ft above the lake´s level. Part of the insular district of Amantani, Taquile island is located 28 miles from the city of Puno. Taquile has a population of over 2,200 inhabitants and is the second biggest island in the Peruvian side of the lake with an area of 28.5mi2. Thanks to the term regulating effects of lake Titikaka, there is a microclimate in the island that favors agriculture. The textiles in Taquile are considered world´s heritage.
