Well done!

Congratulations to our rōpū of kaumātua and kaimahi that took part in the Whitianga Run Fest over the long weekend.

It was a blustery day down on the waterfront, but you got out there and gave it your all on the 5km and 10km courses - koia kei a koutou!

An awesome demonstration of how our kaumātua support each other to achieve their goals, and keep the hinengaro, wairua and tinana active.

The finish line has barely cooled down and we're already talking about next year.

The 2027 G.J. Gardner Homes Whitianga Run Fest is officially locked in for Saturday 5 June 2027 - King's Birthday Weekend.

So whether you're coming back for a PB, a redemption run, another weekend away with your crew, or just an excuse to spend a long weekend in Whitianga, now's the time to save the date.

It's race day!

Months of training, early mornings, long runs, and maybe a few "why did I sign up for this?" moments have all led to today.

Whether you're taking on the 5km, 10km, or 21km, remember this is your day. Chase a PB, soak up the scenery, run with mates, or simply enjoy the journey to the finish line.

Most importantly, have fun & support your fellow runners.
