To all our incredible participants, teams, volunteers, sponsors, entertainers and supporters thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of Relay for Life Whangārei 2025!

Your dedication, energy, and passion have made this event truly special. Every step you took, every dollar you raised, and every moment you shared helped bring hope and support to those facing cancer in our community. Together, we’ve celebrated survivors, honored loved ones, and stood united in the fight against cancer.

If you aren’t already fundraising and want to join us on the day for a few hours to tautoko and soak up the atmosphere please consider volunteering.

We especially need people for early morning set up on Saturday 29th from 7 until 10.30am – join us to see the sunrise and stay to enjoy the emotional opening ceremony.

Relay for Life is a 12-hour community fundraising event with teams taking turns at continuously walking around the track to show that although cancer doesn’t stop, we won’t either. We also have plenty of entertainment to keep everyone going when they aren’t on the track.

Our Relay for Life fundraising community are INCREDIBLE! We are over 1/3 of the way to meeting our fundraising goal – an incredible $44,880 so far.

Relay For Life is a one of our main community fundraising events and a vital part of ensuring we can continue to support those living with cancer in Northland.

We are asking each participant to fundraise $50 (or more) to take part in Relay on Saturday 29th March and as our way of thanking our amazing community, we organise an energetic day full of live music, activities and fun!

A big thank you to everyone who has signed up so far and congratulations to our current leading fundraising teams: Otamatea High School, Whangarei Girls School, Pompallier Catholic School, Golden Girls and Boys and the Myra Sheppard Team. We are so grateful to you all.

When you’re taking a break from the track we have all sorts of activities to keep you busy! So come along and get your face painted and join the Circus!

We’ve got the awesome teams from FacePainting Northland and Circus Kumarani joining us to keep you busy.

We will also host a Talent Contest on our main stage so practise your singing, dancing, yodelling and sign up on the day!
