Today 2 Whangārei Proud trustees attended the Te Tai Tokerau Rainbow Network Symposium Planning Hui. We discussed the details of an event to pull the wider rainbow Te Tai Tokerau community together! It was a very productive hui and we got to meet with other rainbow community groups in Te Tai Tokerau!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Whangārei PROUD stands in solidarity with all our Q***r friends and family in Berlin, and around the world, as we reflect on this attack on our community.

This highlights the need for even more visibly and vocal condemnation of homophobic and transphobic behavior from those that would see our mana diminished.

We send our deepest condolences to the friends and families of those effected by this attack, especially the woman who was murdered at the scene, and those with a long battle ahead in their recovery.
