Another month jam packed with events for our local LGBTQIA+ community

🌈Our main event this month is the GiveOUT Day, supported by Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust.

🌈The Little Lost Art Festival takes place this month with events like Molly Dancing and Pūpūrangi Harakeke workshops at Pride HQ, and one of our favorite Drag Kings Hugo Grrrl's Rainbow Show at 116

🌈and its our kick off planning meeting for the 2027 Whangārei Pride Festival 2027. We will be announcing the parade date any day!

🌈plus Gaymes Night, Q***r Creators and our Monthly Neurodivergent Hangout.

Look who's coming up to Whangārei! One of our favorite Drag King regulars, Hugo Grrrl, and he's bringing his extra special Hugo's Rainbow Show to Whangārei. Spread the word to anyone who has tamariki, whether you are a rainbow whanau or not, we recon they would love to see this fun show. Perfect for the school holidays. All part of the Little Lost Art Festival. You can also see him on TVNZ's Mr Hugo's Little Library, so an actual NZ celebrity!)

What a great turn out for today's Candidate Question Time. Thank you to all the candidates who attended Mariameno Kapa-Kingi mō Te Tai Tokerau, Dr Gary Payinda - Whangārei Labour Doug Graham - ACT Whangārei Simon for Whangārei Vince Cocurullo - NZ First Candidate for Whangarei Jon Twyman for Whangarei 2026 Zephyr Brown - Green Party candidate Kaipara ki Mahurangi. We appreciate your time and your replies to the questions. Thank you to our community for the questions that were put forward. They were well considered and respectful.
