Jenny and Gavin are back for their once a year stall selling this delicious relish.
We tried it last year and it was a treat, it didn’t last long in our house!
Jenny says ‘This reka-balanced kiinaki (pickle-relish) is home made in Whanganui and the Kamokamo are grown from our home garden. The recipe has been over 17 years in the making and to this day we continue to get good reactions from satisfied consumers. It is always made with love in mind, we take time and grace in its manufacture, from start to finish. We enjoy making this because it is a very enjoyable māori kai or kiinaki (accompaniment) to have with various other kai including roast meats, cheeses and crackers to name but a few. Ngā manaakitanga!

When you are an outdoor event, worrying what the weather will bring is a thing.
We don’t know why we worried though, we should have known the last Saturday in May would be a fine one.
Come and join us this morning as we enjoy this packed full of events holiday weekend
We are open from 8.30 am.

Whanganui has had just 4.65mm of rain in May, against an 82-83mm average.

Two years goes fast when you are working as hard as these guys.
We are seriously impressed with the range and variety of produce.
And so are their customers, they are lining up before we open!
Happy birthday, and thanks for being with us at our Whanganui Farmers Market.

Tomorrow marks our second birthday selling our fruit and veggies at the Whanganui River Markets. That's 104 Saturdays of sun, wind, rain and just about everything the weather can throw at us. We are extremely proud of our wee business and love all the feedback we get from our customers. Thank you all for your support :)

We will be adding Broccoli and Cauliflower to the table tomorrow (not a large amount so early bird catches the worm :) )
Along with them we will have....
Beans
Yams
Capsicum
Radish
Kumara
Beetroot
Potatoes
Carrots
Red Onion
Zucchini
Spaghetti Squash
Spring Onions
Pumpkins
Salad Mixes
Silverbeet
Kale
Coriander
Microgreens
Eggs

See you there :)
