🏆🎬 WAFF Awards 2026 — Saturday at the Roxy!

Join us for a special event celebrating the next generation of animation talent at the WAFF Awards 2026, taking place Saturday, March 21 at The Roxy Cinema in Miramar.

The show will begin with a special screening of animated short films by French animation students — a vibrant showcase of creativity from some of the world’s leading animation schools (screened out of competition).

Then discover the future of New Zealand animation with the screening of the finalist films by NZ student filmmakers, competing in the WAFF Awards 2026 Student Competition.

✨ After the screenings, we’ll celebrate the filmmakers and announce the winners of the WAFF Awards 2026.
A fantastic opportunity to discover bold new voices in animation and support emerging talent from New Zealand and beyond.
