When a mysterious virus called Heterosis sweeps through the Parisian gay scene, turning gay men straight, Jim goes from Pride royalty to social outcast overnight. With only freshly-out t***k Lucien still by his side, the unlikely duo must race across every arrondissement of Paris to find a cure before the community they love is erased entirely.

Screaming in rainbows and dripping in pop culture references, Jim Queen is the sharp debut from animators-turned-directors Nicolas Athané and Marco Nguyen, who were nominated for both the Caméra d'Or and the Q***r Palm at Cannes.

A dodgy stick-and-poke tattoo becomes a symbol of terror in Alpha, the latest from body-horror maestro, Julia Ducournau.

In semi-dystopian 1980s Paris, a virus known as the ‘Red Wind’ is sweeping through communities, slowly turning its victims into marble. After getting a tattoo with a dirty needle at a party, young teen Alpha is swept up in the intense fear of the illness, and the wait for test results feels all the more heavy when Alpha’s recovering ju**ie uncle takes refuge at their apartment.

The follow up to Ducournau’s earlier work, Titane (winner of the top prize Palme d'Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival) Alpha is a reflection of the cruelty of the late 20th century AIDS crisis.
