Coming soon to NZIFF, Jimpa is the q***r family drama everyone’s falling in love with! 💛

Starring Olivia Colman and John Lithgow, the film follows Hannah and her non-binary teen Frances, who travel to Amsterdam to visit grandad Jimpa, an HIV-positive academic. While Frances soon settles in, Hannah struggles with unresolved hurt and past issues left unsaid. But it’s not all super serious - this is a story told with honesty, humour and a ton of heart, as the family members navigate identity and all the messiness of intergenerational dynamics.
