Hey all Puck Off followers – we did it! We reached our target of $20k to help Jimmy and Aurora!

There was a bit of hustling at the end there but we made it, thanks to you, our hockey community, our wider community and all our amazing sponsors. We also want to thank our Puck Off crew who spent hours away from their families, dedicated to making this day a success. You guys rock.

Final figure was $20,206.96

After a 6 hour marathon hockey game – we believe Northland’s longest – our score was 53-54 – to the Aurora Whites! One goal in it after 6 hours! Goes to show how hard everyone was playing!

The day was brilliant – we saw heaps of new faces, and familiar ones too. We get goose bumps and have shed more than a few tears at how everyone had really bonded together to help one of our own. So proud.

The good people of Mitre 10 Waipapa have also donated this beauty of a BBQ valued $649. We are going to have an Online Auction by comment on this cracker of an item. Starting price as per the silent auctions on the day is 50% of the value. So $324.50 so we'll start at that.... Auction closes Sunday 11th of December at 5pm. Payment confirmation required by Monday 9am or the item goes to the next highest bidder. Other auction rules as per the silent auction rules and will be added in the comments.

What an amazing day yesterday! Thanks SO much to everyone who helped make it a success. The list is huge, so many people contributed in so many different ways.

To everyone who came along to watch, browse, bid, eat, drink and otherwise enjoy the day - THANK YOU - we hope you loved it as much as we did.

To all the players, refs, scorekeepers and their families who came from near, far, and very far, to take part in our 6 hour, longest ever hockey game - we are so thrilled you came, we couldn’t have done this without you!!!

To everyone who contributed to our delicious food offerings - helping to bake, cook, prepare, serve & pour - we are so grateful. Also for all the many generous donations of food and drink items and ingredients - thank you so much.

To everyone who helped out on the day in whatever ways they could, thank you for a huge effort. It was a very long day with heaps going on - and it all went amazingly smoothly thanks to so many people getting stuck in.

To everyone who, leading up to the event, helped in all the myriad of ways, no matter how small or big (or REALLY big - you know who you are!!) - WOW! Organising, planning, preparing, creating, buying, borrowing, begging, hustling… and of course….jumping those hurdles! What an incredible achievement in 13 days. We did good!!! :D

Morning all,

Just a quick post to let you know that there is a bit of wash up to do with our event… admin, lost property etc. we will have a couple of other posts coming through and we’ll definitely let you know our final tally once we have all funds through.

I’ll be following up with auction winners that had gone home prior to auction finishing today, also I have Raffle prizes that weren’t collected at my place. I’ll be in touch with you.

We also have a phone that was left in the Men’s changing room. If you can tell me the phone brand and colour I release it to you- otherwise my kids have their eye on it 😜
