The winner, drawn on the night, will win free selling of a line of wool up to 30 bales! That’s right no selling fees! They will pick it up free of charge from your woolshed and sell it for you at no cost (conditions apply)

AFFCO have donated some legs of lamb so will be doing a quick fire sale of them throughout the night.

We kick off at 6:00 PM with the Farmers' Section—great prizes up for grabs!

This will be followed by the Senior and Open Shearers.

The Milton King Crabs have taken up the challenge to try and win the South Otago Windows and Doors Milburn Cup! This is a teams event not to be missed—a small twist on the classic novelty event we always run.

Our auction this year is stacked with amazing items, including:
✅ Legs of lamb from AFFCO Meats
✅ A fertiliser package from Superior Minerals
✅ 200L of diesel from Otago Mini Tankers
✅ 20 tonnes of lime from Milburn Lime, with spreading by Wynyard Transport
✅ A scenic helicopter flight from our great mates at Lister Helicopters.. and much, much more!

The Waihola Swans and the Waihola Tavern invite you back to our 2025 Speed shear.
FRIDAY 7th FEBRUARY 6pm.

We are back for another year. It’s a big one for us with ground work started on the ground up grade!!!
More sheep, more prizes and more fun.
Great prize money up for grabs and with the lambs in good nick picking the best shearing lambs from 4000 of Berridales finest, the wool will be flying.
Come along and support our auction, there will be something for everyone.
The farmers section is always a blast with some local farmers keen for glory.
We are the 2nd speed shear in a run of 3 in a row with Owaka on Feb 6th and Lawrence on Feb 9th.
The big guns will all be here I’m sure.
Get along and enjoy a great night, see you there.
