THE FOX IS BACK FOR EDITION 7!

As Foxy takes on the best in the world at The Tour Championship this week, we're beginning our countdown to the seventh edition of The Fox Fishing & Golf Festival, presented by Shimano, at Waihi Beach this December.

The popular event is once again a sell-out, with 24 teams from around New Zealand and guests from the USA and Australia enjoying an epic few days in pursuit of the coveted Fox trophy!

The Fox also raises funds for two vital local volunteer organisations. To date, over $260,000 has been donated to our good friends at Waihi Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and Waihi Beach Volunteer Coastguard.

Special thanks to our teams, sponsor partners, venue partners, celebrity skippers.....and, of course, our super host Ryan Fox for what promises to be another fun few days.

FOXY SAVES BEST FOR LAST.

Foxy bounced back in the final round of the St. Jude Championship, carding a three-under 67. This saw Ryan finish T58.

His overall FedEx Cup standing is now #25. The top 50 players now head to St. Louis for the BMW Championship.

Ryan’s goal will be to remain in the top 30, so he can tee it up in the season ending Tour Championship.

C’mon, Foxy!

FOXY DOING IT TOUGH AT ST JUDE.

After three rounds of the FedEx Cup’s first playoff event, Foxy finds himself one off the tail of the leaderboard at eight-over.

We all know Foxy’s a fighter, so let’s hope there’s a few birdies tomorrow

Despite Ryan’s tough outing at the St Jude Championship, Foxy’s FedEx Cup ranking will see him progress to the BMW Championship for the top 50.

FOXY RETURNS FOR PLAYOFFS IN MEMPHIS!

After a three-week break, the Champion Golfer of the Year (aka Foxy) makes his return at the St Jude Championship in Memphis.

This tourney is the first of the three FedEx Cup Playoff events, with an eye-watering USD80M on offer over the three tournaments.

So how does it work……the top 70 players from the PGA Tour play at the St Jude Championship . (USD20M) Players are ranked based on their seasons results. Foxy’s win at The Open has him in 22nd spot. You carry your ranking through the first two events.

The top 50 ranked players following the St Jude play in the BMW Championship (USD20M) with the top 30 ranked players finishing with The Tour Championship (USD40M).

The winner’s purse at The Tour Championship is USD10M!!

Foxy tees of at 5.25am (NZT) tomorrow alongside his good mate, Adam Scott.

TEAM FOX!

Yesterday’s mayoral reception in Auckland’s Takutai Square, was a chance for the public to celebrate Foxy’s Open victory.

Thousands turned out to honour the popular champ.

Among the fans was Steve Hathaway, one of the last year’s winning Sandicappers team at The Fox. Steve brought Major Fox, the coveted trophy from the tourney, to Ryan’s big day. (You’ll see them both in the photo!)

What a day! Congratulations, Foxy!

Well done to the team at Visit Auckland for arranging the event. Magic!
