Artworks, Waiheke Island. Artworks, the place where all of Waiheke's Community Arts Hub hangs out. This is THE hub of arts, performing arts, learning and entertainment for Waiheke.

From theatre, community events, dance, comedy, music museum, Waiheke radio, cinema, artisan craft market to adult learning... it's all here! The Arts and Cultural Complex that reflects Waiheke Island's unique identity all bought together by a large courtyard bathed in sunlight. Busy hands have been crafting dozens of ceramic hearts to be painted as one of the interactive art stations at this Sunday's Pride Party 🌈

With live drawing, painting, writing, crafting, and music on offer, there's something for everyone.

We can't wait to celebrate you and your creative self expression this weekend from 2pm to 6pm 😍 Dress ups VERY much encouraged!

Weekends in February: Sorted βœ…οΈ

Our line up for Creative Sundays is here! Mark your diaries and come out to celebrate a beautiful long summer of creativity 🌞

We kick off on 2nd of February with The Far Out Swell, featuring Dub Penguins and guests in the courtyard, followed by BARDO inside! 🌊

The 9th of February brings something for the tamariki, with The Fairy Queen and her special guest Flum Flum bringing some magic to the courtyard.πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

The 16th is for you, creatives! Come together, enjoy some wine and sunset vibes, have a dance and connect with your fellow creatives!πŸŒ…

Finally, our Proud Voices Open Air Art Exhibit - come celebrate Pride, love, and all the things about it as we transform the courtyard into an interactive art space, filled with live music, poetry, and more πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

It's Pride month, Waiheke, and do we have a lineup for you πŸ˜πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Join us at the Waiheke Library on Saturday 8th and Thursday 13th of February to create black out and spoken word poetry themed around pride, love and identity βœ’οΈ

Friday 14 brings a special Valentines Open Mic to the library - come share your poems, songs or musings around love and inclusivity - or just sit back, enjoy some snacks and listen 🎀

Finally, funded by the Waiheke Local Board, e have our Open Air Art Exhibit Pride Party in Sunday 23rd of February from 2pm. Come enjoy live music, interactive art stations, poetry and live drawing, all while enjoying drinks from the Pinter Bar! πŸŽ‰πŸ–ŒπŸŽ¨
