Timaru Soap Box Derby

It is with regret that we have had to make the tough decision to cancel this year's Soapbox Derby. In what is a tough climate, lower entries were perhaps not unexpected, but disappointing nonetheless.

The committee would like to thank all individuals and businesses who supported the event and assure you it will be back in 2025 bigger and better than ever before.

Our entries are currently too low to make the event viable to run for 2024. 🏁
The event is scheduled to run on Sunday 10th November 2024.

If you plan on entering a team this year - DM or Email us at [email protected] by 6pm Sunday night so we can make a call.

There has been a lot of work already gone into getting the event set up and we don't want to cancel it! But we are left with very few choices if we don't have enough teams to race on the day!
