Proud to welcome Elite 3 as an official partner of this year’s HoopNation Classic.

Elite3 is the team behind Shot Ready, the shooting machine built to put more quality reps in your hands. Set the drill, set the speed, and let the machine feed you shot after shot so you can focus on your game.

We’re excited to keep this relationship strong, and we’re grateful for their support of the tournament.

Take your game to another level. Take your programme to another level.

OFFICIAL: JSC 2027 IS IN WHANGANUI.

21–24 April 2027. Four days.

Divisions have changed for 2027.

The Junior Showcase now runs the same age grades as The Classic — 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U, Boys and Girls — and every division is Elite. No Development, no A-League.

This replaces the 13U / 15U / 17U and 19U Boys format we ran in 2026, so your team's grade may not be the one you are used to. Our Divisions mean that age or under.

Anything you are unsure of, email [email protected]

Thank you Whanganui District Council for your continued support.

Stay tuned — entries open announcement, Wednesday 30 September, 7:30pm. Set a reminder.

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. Five kupu for the game we love. Swipe through. 🏀

1️⃣ POITŪKOHU — basketball. Poi (ball) + tūkohu (cylindrical basket).
2️⃣ TARAWHITI — the hoop. You'll also hear mōhiti or mōwhiti.
3️⃣ HARA — foul. Hara ā-ture is a technical, hararua is a double foul.
4️⃣ KURU TAUTUKU — free throw. Kuru on its own means to shoot.
5️⃣ KURU WHIWHI-TORU — three pointer. Shortened to kuru whiwhi-3.

All from Paekupu. Tag someone who needs these in their vocab.
Kia kaha te reo Māori.
