On Wednesday 21st of October at 5:30pm we are screening the world première of the documentary The Impossible Journey.

In 2013 Danish adventurer, Thor Pedersen, left his loved ones behind and set off in an attempt to become the first person to visit every country in the world without flying. He wanted adventure, a title, and to show that the world is a much better place than is portrayed in the news. He got an experience that tested every layer of him as a human being.

On Tuesday 27th of October at 6pm we have a special event happening at the Village Theatre as part of the Nelson Arts Festival called PukaPuka Talks : Plant Fiend.
In Plant Fiend, Peter Butler explores his relationship with plants, which have always been both a love and a refuge – and led to the establishment and success of both Forest Herbs Research and HealthPost. Chaired by Robbie Burton.

We have a new program out today! Here it is. Loads of new films! We have a competition to win tickets to see the Spanish film Calle Málaga (M)! Show Me Shorts Film Festival is showing on Saturday 17th with The Sampler selection for one night only. Our annual fundraising variety show The Price of Milk is coming up on the 23rd of October. And we are hosting a wonderful book talk by local author Peter Butler as part of the PukaPuka Talks for the Nelson Arts Festival! Loads happening at your local Village Theatre!
