Here’s everything you need to know to be ready for Race 1:
Registration:
When: Saturday 10 Oct, 3pm–5pm AND Sunday 11 Oct, 7am–9.30am�
Where: Event HQ, Waipa MTB Carpark, 30 Waipa State Mill Rd, Rotorua
Collect your race plate and timing chip from our friendly rego crew.
Race Start:
CamelBak Long Course: Race briefing 8.45am → Start 9.00am�
SRAM Short Course: Race briefing 9.45am → Start 10.00am
All starts are mass start from Waipa MTB Carpark. Don’t be late.
Race Finish:
Courses close at 2.30pm.
All riders must be back at HQ by 3.00pm – penalties apply after this time.
Prizegiving: 3.15pm at Event HQ.
Race Hub:
The Race Hub is the central forest hub with DJ Danley, SRAM and RockShox mechanics, and an Aid Station stocked with food, snacks, and water thanks to CamelBak. This is located at the Katore Rd Shuttle Route drop off.
Race Shuttles:
Two shuttle routes will be operating for the event.
Katore Rd Shuttle from the corner of Nursery and Pohaturoa Roads.
Direct Rd Shuttle from the intersection of Red Tank, Pipeline and Direct Roads.
Follow the Rules:
Riding down the shuttle roads IS permitted this race, but please take extreme care, stay left and go slow.
Follow the road rules (ie don’t ride on Waipa Bypass Rd, follow the Verry Safe Trail and Ball and Chain.).
Follow marshal instructions at all times.�Stage starts must be from a complete stop in the spray-painted box – rolling starts will result in disqualification.
