Registrations are open. Follow the link and get it done.

New system this year, so slow down, read it properly, and answer all the questions. Saves us chasing you later.

One registration per person. Yes, even the kids.
Under 16s need to be entered by a parent or guardian… don’t let them loose on the form.

No entry fee, but if you’re in a position to help out, donations are what make next year possible.

No refunds. Once you’re in, you’re in.

See you out there… repeatedly.

So it turns out 915 people ran 6,155 laps, covering 36,930 km. Thats about 92% of the way around the planet!! (lets make it all the way around next year)

We didn’t quite make it the full circle probably because someone stopped for a Musashi and Kylie forgot to mark down her lap...

That’s 875 marathons, or 29 million steps (give or take) powered entirely by caffeine, stubbornness and spite.

Counting it took almost as long as running it.

And yes — 6,155 laps is also roughly the same number of complaints we got about picking up the pens.

It’s almost been two weeks since Blue Lake, and yes we’re still counting.

Sarah did hers properly, I did mine between naps, and somehow the numbers still matched.

We’ll post the final total tonight… assuming we don’t lose count again

Each year we award the "Good Bu**er Award" to a good bu**er.. This year we awarded it to Chris Townley

For the last 10 years, Chris has been the backbone of Blue Lake. He helped shape the madness, kept it running smoothly, and built the team that makes it all possible. Without him, this event wouldn’t even exist.

He’s stepped away from the organising crew to chase some new adventures, but Blue Lake and the crazy team that put it together will always be thankful for his commitment, his hard work, and the countless hours he’s poured in.

Chris, a decade of being a bloody good bu**er.

On behalf of Kurt, Sarah, Sean, and Ash — a massive thank you to every single competitor who came out to the lake this weekend.

You brought the energy, the grit, the laughter, and the madness that makes this event what it is. Whether you ran one lap, thirty one laps, or just came out to cheer, you helped create an atmosphere that can’t be matched.

We’re blown away every year by the community that gathers at Blue Lake. The headlamps glowing through the night, the tired smiles at dawn, and the sheer determination on the trails. You’re the reason this event exists, and the reason it keeps growing stronger.

Rest up, wear your blisters with pride, and remember: the lake will always be here, waiting for you again.

Midnight miles are a different kind of cruel.
The silence is heavy, your body’s begging for warmth and sleep, and every step feels like a bad idea.
But the lake doesn’t let you hide. Out here, the only way forward is one painful lap at a time.
