The Civic Theatre is located within the Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre in the heart of Rotorua’s downtown city centre. It has modern and comfortable tiered seating for 686 people with full sound and lighting facilities. Back stage has been recently refurbished being renovated allowing additional back stage facilities including three levels of changing rooms to accommodate both the star

and the chorus lines. This puts the venue on a par with any of New Zealand’s leading theatres in other city centres. Pre-show and intermission refreshments can be provided in the foyer areas of the wider Performing Arts Centre
