The Salmon Run - Rakaia Multisport, ½ Marathon, Duathlon x2 events using the Rakaia River Have some fun; go to http://www.thesalmonrun.nz for distances and more information.

Saturday 16th October 2021 is a must do for multisporters, duathletes, runners (three distances), walkers and off road bikers. Something for everyone utilising the Rakaia River and riverbed; individual or teams, competitive or non competitive - long and short races for duathlons and runs.

The weather is looking BEAUTIFUL heading into Salmon Run weekend! 🙌🏼🎉😎

After keeping a very close eye on the forecast, things are shaping up for an absolute cracker of a day at the Salmon Run… and we are getting VERY excited! 🏃🏼‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️🛶

The countdown is well and truly on, the course preparations are underway, and right now Mother Nature looks like she might just be on our side! 🤞🏼☀️💃🏼

If you’ve been sitting on the fence waiting to see what the weather was going to do… this might be your sign to get that entry in! 👀🔥

Are you worried about entering a Multisport event and having the paddle cancelled??!! 🫣🛶

Not to fear — we have a back-up plan! 🥳

Thanks to the Notorious S.N.W. (Spring Nor’West), river levels don’t always play nicely at this time of year — and while we can’t control what Mother Nature throws at us, we can have another course ready to go!

Meet COURSE B 😎

If river conditions mean our usual paddle course can’t go ahead, Course B gives our Multisport competitors an alternative out-and-back paddle on the RDR.

It means you can get your entry in knowing that, river levels permitting or not, we have a plan to keep the paddle in Multisport! 🛶💪

Same Salmon Run. Same three disciplines.
We just have a Plan B. 😉
