NZKK 2025 Nationals - Open Tournament

A massive shoutout to the Organising Committee, Crew, Officials, VIP’s, Coaches and (most of all)- Fighters for collectively making the Tournament so memorable (for the right reasons).
I wish those travelling within NZ and across the Tasman a safe journey home.
We have ended up with these two items of clothing- left at the venture or Sayonara function.
Please let us know if you can identify the owners.

2 days to go and excitement is increasing as the Australian teams start arriving in Wellington.
Also arriving were the last of the contact trophies.
I wonder how many of these 42 stylish awards will be heading over the ditch next week.

Important information for competitors and officials:

All Referee's and Judges must attend the pre-tournament officials briefing - to be held at the tournament venue from 8.45 to 9.15am on Sunday morning.

Weigh-in for all fighters will also be held at the venue on Sunday morning - from 9.00am to 9.30am

The competitor and officials march-on and opening ceremony will commence at 10am (sharp).

To celebrate successes at the tournament, farewell competitors and special guests- and recognise a certain persons 50th anniversary in Kyokushin Karate, we have booked 1841 Bar and Restaurant for our “Sayonara Party” on Sunday evening (from 7pm).
The address is: 1 Disraeli Street, Johnsonville, Wellington.

Just 10 days until the NZKK 2025 Nationals.

Here is useful information relating to the venue and surrounds.

There is a very nice cafe in the Arena and (as noted) competitors will have discounted access to the Aquatic Centre - so they may wish to pack togs and a towel with their dogi and mouth guard.

Entry fee for spectators to the tournament will be $10 for adults and $5 for those 5-15 years old - payable on arrival via cash of eftpos.
