This brings to a close the 2025 Wellington Graded Champs hosted by Western Suburbs FC

A final and massive thank you to our army of volunteers. They put in a massive amount of hours into the week leading up to and again over the two days of the tournament.

I can't name them all but they know how awesome they are!! Just some insights by the numbers.

Another thanks for our major 2025 tournament sponsor Hell Pizza Mana. Western Suburbs FC couldn't have done this without your support. The kids and adults loved having the Hearst there for day 1.

A special thanks to Wellington Beds and Carters for supporting us with the use of their BBQ trailers for the day. They served to many sausages to count. Also thanks to 1 Traffic Design for their help with our traffic management plan.

The club, parents and mostly all of our young players thank you for your support.

On to our big winner of the weekend for 2025.

Over the course of the 2 days clubs were competing for the Alan Jeffery Memorial Trophy. Depending on where teams finished across the day they earned points for their respective club. It was a close race and it came down to a winning margin of 4 total points after two days.

We would like to congratulate the 2025 winner of the Alan Jeffery Memorial Trophy, Petone FC - Official

Alan was Western Suburbs first international player back in 1969. He represented Wellington in the years 59 and then 65-68 and was a member of the Western Suburbs team that won the Chatham Cup in 1971 and then the Central League in 1968 & 1969.

The overnight rain, thunder and lighting has stopped. The wind has died down and we are ready to go for our U7, U9, U11 and U13 grades on day 1 of Wellington Graded Champs.

A little bit damp under foot but should be some good football for the kids. The Western Suburbs FC team is putting on the final touches and looking to welcome everyone to the park today.

Here are a few key updates to remember for the weekend.

📋Draw
We will look to release the draw mid next week once everything is finalised. This will be available on www.westernsuburbs.co.nz or https://www.tournifyapp.com/live/wsgc2025

🍲Food and drinks available
This year as well as the big range of hot and cold food that we have available in our club café (Butter Chicken, Fried Rice, Hot Chips, Hot dogs, Beef Nachos, Filled rolls, Fresh baking, Pasta salads, Mac and Cheese) we also have hot barista coffee in the club café as well as a second coffee cart located on the field.

🎉Activations
Along this year are the Milo football activation team offering hot milo drinks and cereal.

Our amazing sponsor this year is Hell Pizza who will have an activation on site ‘Guess the number of footballs’ with a winning prize of $250 worth of Hell Pizza.

⛔Etiquette
A friendly reminder that no private bbqs are permitted in Endeavour Park.

🦓🤬Referees – We are doing our best to secure referees for as many games as possible but like all clubs no doubt know it is harder and harder to get volunteers. Please respect our volunteer refs on the day, and if your game is one where no referee is allocated, teams are to ref 1 x half each.

🚗Parking
Please respect our relationship with our neighbours and don’t block driveways, move traffic cones or park on yellow lines. There is parking available in surrounding streets with pathways leading down to Endeavour Park. A map is attached to suggest alternative parking streets.

🎙️Live updates and Cancellations

Our event goes ahead unless there is a significant weather event that results in the ground being closed. Cancellation if required would be communicated at 7am on the morning of competition via our website, social media and email address contact provided at registration.
