And just like that… Tuku Whakatū 2026 is wrapped up ✨

What a festival it has been — filled with stories, creativity, culture, connection and discovery across Te Tauihu.

This beautiful moment from Whakatū: Saree Stories invited people to step into the world of Indian culture through hands-on saree draping, storytelling and shared experiences — just one of the many special moments that made Tuku 26 so memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Event Hosts, artists, facilitators and communities who brought this festival to life ❤️

As we celebrate the completion of another incredible Tuku, we’re already looking forward to Tuku 27 next year.

Join us for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and connection as part of the Tuku Whakatū 2026 Closing Celebration!

🌏✨ Shared Communities Pop-Up Multicultural Market ✨🌏

This lively pop-up market brings together migrant and former refugee communities to share their cultural heritage through food, crafts, music, dance, and storytelling.

🎭 What’s on:
• Cultural food stalls & handmade crafts
• Live performances, music & dance
• Community storytelling & connection
• A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere
