Event Timetable

Day 1 Friday 20 September 2024
● Bump in and set up by 4pm
● Site inspections for food safety & equipment 5pm
● Team Briefing & Hand in Boxes distribution 6pm
● Cooking window opens at 6.30pm

Day 2 Saturday 21 September 2024
*Judges Course 11.00am on site in Judges Tent

● Jqck Daniels First turn in Chicken (any cut) 1pm
● Wichita Pork Ribs Second turn in (St Louis or Baby Backs, must have a bone present) 2pm


● Chargriller third turn in Pork 2 (refined, shoulder/boston butt) 3pm
● BBQ Butcher Forth turn in Brisket Whole, Flat, Half or Point sections. 4pm
● Winners announcements 6pm
● Bump out from Sunday Morning
Cost of Entry

● $300 per team four people max (includes $60.00 NZBA fee)
● Teams to bring their own cooking equipment
● Site size approximately 3m X 7m per team.


Cash & Prizes (Minimum)
● 1st place in Round $500 cash + trophy
● 2nd place in Round $400 cash + trophy
● 3rd place in Round $300 cash + trophy
● 4th, place in round-$200 cash
● 5th, place in round-$100 cash
● Char Griller Grand Champion Prize - $1500.00 Cash + Trophy
● Jack Daniels Reserve Grand Champion (runner up) Prize - $1000.00 Cash + Trophy
