NOTICE OF RĀHUI

Due to a tragic loss during the Iron Māori event in the hapū waters of Mana Ahuriri, a rāhui has been put in place from Te Karaka to Te Herenga Waka o Ahuriri for 2 days. The rāhui was set by kaumatua immediately at 8am and caused the cessation of the swim section of Iron Māori. The rāhui covers all water activities. Any vessels in close proximity please respect this space and head north.

Peter Cowan lost his right leg in a hit and run accident when he was a teenager. Now this champion outrigger canoeist has his sights on competing at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
