Introducing 🎉 Little Yarns Festival of Reading for Kids! 🎉
The full Yarns in Barns: Wairarapa Festival of Reading will be back next year, so in 2026 we're focusing on a new mini-festival for kids!
It all kicks off this Sat 10 October – NZ Bookshop Day with a Family-Read-a-Thon hosted by Masterton District Library. Bring your books and we'll do some silent reading together in the sunshine – a great chance for grown-ups to role model reading! With treats and a grand prize to be won.
Then in the first week back at school, bring the kids to be entertained and inspired afterschool as these amazing authors go back-to-back and bring their stories to life!
All welcome – FREE & FUN for all but particularly good for kids aged 7–11 🤩
