This is just a fraction of the crew who help run The Retro Event on the day.

There are so many people missing from this main photo, including my mum, Emilio, Josh, Beppe (added an older pic of him), Seb our website designer and design lead, Our cosplay team - Adriana, Matt & Astro plus heaps of other volunteers and workers who all come together to make this event happen.

And of course my wife Ashika is missing too, who plans the entire event alongside me.

It really does take a lot of people to pull off an event like this. From the crew helping on the day, to the people working behind the scenes for months beforehand, everyone plays a part.

Me and my wife do all the boring stuff like planning, emails, paperwork, organising, fixing problems and making sure everything is ready, so you guys can come along, enjoy the event and have a seamless time.

A massive thank you to every single person who gives up their time and helps make The Retro Event happen. ❤️

These are the people who spend hours setting up, packing down, travelling, and bringing cool as stuff for everyone to check out.

The Retro Event would be nothing without our vendors. They are a massive part of what makes the event what it is, and we are so grateful to every single person who chooses to be part of it.

Massive thank you to everyone who made it! Working on the recap videos and pics now with the crew. This was by far the biggest one yet with 2 halls of goodies!

Well that was intense. I’ve never had my butt muscles hurt this much 😅

Me and the team have been setting up non-stop from 10am to 9pm today and we are absolutely shattered... but READY TO GO AGAIN TOMORROW!

Just remember... we do this for you guys. So you can relive your childhood, show your friends, your family, your kids, and make new memories together.

This one is twice the size of any Retro Event we’ve ever done before... 2 giant halls packed with nostalgia.

Can’t wait to see you all soon

Went out for a feed with some of the peeps tonight (shoutout Nando's ).

This is some of the on-the-day team that'll be helping make this event run smooth. We can't wait to show you what we've planned for this event.

Remember, every Retro Event so far has been in one hall.

This time it's TWO giant halls. That's twice the event!! 🤯

We're still setting things up and probably won't sleep much between now and Saturday, but we do this because we love doing it for you all.

Me and my wife Ashika just want to thank every single one of you for making this happen. The vendors, the attendees, the volunteers, the sponsors, the community... everyone.

Thank you for letting us host The Retro Event.

What started as a dream has become a home for so many people. Something bigger than we ever imagined. Let's keep retro going.

COSPLAY SCHEDULE

Thinking of entering the cosplay competition? Check out the schedule below so you know where you need to be and when.

If you're competing, make sure you head to reception when you arrive so our team can get you checked in and ready to go.

If you pre-registered, you'll receive early entry from 9:00am before general admission begins at 10:00am.

The Cosplay Parade starts at 12:00pm and is always one of the highlights of the day, followed by prizegiving and the Cosplay Lip Sync.

We've also got thousands of dollars worth of prizes up for grabs this year. We're keeping most of them a secret for now, but trust me... the prize pool is on a whole nother level (HNL). 😏

Good luck to everyone entering - we can't wait to see what you've been working on!
