A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Hamish McKay for achieving his goal to summit the equivalent elevation of Mt Everest - over 4 long days! We hope he enjoys a few days of rest and recouperation and getting his weekends back!

Hamish is 75% of the way to achieving his goal to reach the equivalent height of Mt Everest! It's his last day of climbing at One Tree Hill today. We wish him well!

Mt. Everest rises 8,848.86 m above sea level and reigns as the highest mountain on Earth. Since the first ascent in 1953 by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, reaching the summit of Everest has been considered one of the greatest achievements in mountaineering.

We are in awe of Hamish's achievement and thank him for also shining a light on the challenges many people living with coeliac disease, face in everyday life.

You can look forward to hearing more about what motivated Hamish to undertake the mission to fundraise $5,000 for Coeliac NZ in the next issue of Coeliac Link.
