An Open Letter to;
Mamaku Car Show 2026 Sponsors, Vehicle Participants, Vendors and Mamaku Community.
The Mamaku Car Show has been a successful event over the last three years, bringing our community, sponsors, vendors, car fanatics, vintage cars, tractors, trucks, caravans and bikes together for a great day out while providing an opportunity for fund raising.
We can't thank our Sponsors and Supporters enough.
First year funds helped a range of community initiatives via our MRA; and 2nd year helped us build and run the 3rd year. Profits are banked in our Community Patrol fund as a start towards purchasing our very own CPNZ vehicle for our own Patrols.
The 2026 Show provided a net profit of $5,000 which was lower than projected. Raffle sales and merchandise sales were noticeably less and vehicle attendance was considerably lower.
No doubt a number of factors contributed to this; the cost of living, petrol prices combined with the other Car Shows on the Calendar will have forced some to be more selective about the events they attended.
The date change for the Beach Hop 2027 (now on the date our show has been held for the last three years) has given us pause to step back and consider our options for 2027.
We have decided not to hold a Mamaku Car Show in 2027 and hope to be back stronger than ever in 2028.
The Community Events Team are investigating other smaller events we can hold during the 2027 Summer to help grow our CPNZ Vehicle fund and provide fun things to get involved in.
Things like; Picnic in the Park, Kids Amazing Race, Music Festival (Mamaku Style), Bingo, Quiz Nights (with less free gifts ) and other events the community want to support.
Keep an eye on our page ‘Mamaku Events 2025’ as we progress our ideas and drop us a post with ideas for events you would like to see.The more suggestions and feedback we get the more successful we can be.
With thanks,
Mamaku Community Events TeamLee Fredrick & Tina Rose
