While we aren’t running the new UM Canada event, you will see the branding from UM Australia and UM New Zealand has been used. When Bill Justus wanted to launch a new 515 race, he came to us to talk about it. He has taken some of our advice and with the support of Tony Horton, Jeff Morris and the UM Dream Team we will be along for the ride to help him execute UM Canada in the Okanagan Valley in July 2027.

The connection between Australia and Canada goes back almost to the beginning of 515 races in Penticton. Nick Mallett, who co-designed the Australian course (with Tony, Craig and Wayne) won the 2nd ever Ultraman Canada back in 1994, won again in 1999 and came 2nd in 2005. The one and only Tony Horton then took on Ultraman Canada in 2012, the start of his journey to show people the magic of Ultra-Triathlon racing. 2021 UM Australia winner Kate Bevilaqua has also won in Canada, heading there and taking the overall win at the 2015 Ultra520k event. We have a long history and connection with Canada and look forward to strengthening that with Bill Justus and his team as they host UM Canada in 2027.
