30 - CHRIS “WALSHY” WALSH - WALSHY TREEWORK 🌲🔥

Known to most as Walshy, Chris has been working in trees for 17 years and has seen just about every side of the industry. Despite all that time in the canopy, he’s somehow never jumped into a climbing competition… until now.

Representing Walshy Treework out of Kaiwaka, Walshy has finally decided it’s time to give it a crack. After nearly two decades around the ropes and saws, he’s stepping into Canopy Carnage 2026 to see how his climbing stacks up when the clock is running and the crowd is watching.

Sometimes the best reason to compete is simple: why not?

⏱️ CANOPY CARNAGE – GROUP TIMES 🌲🔥

The climbers have been split into 5 groups, each hitting the canopy at different times across the weekend. If you’re coming to watch a specific climber, check which group they’re in so you don’t miss them.

Saturday
Group A – 10:00am
Group B – 12:00pm
Group C – 2:00pm

Sunday
Group D – 10:00am
Group E – 12:00pm
🏆 Finals – Sunday 2:00pm

Please note these times are approximate and may shift slightly on the day depending on how the rounds progress.

Climbers - we’ve got a couple of surprises and changes lined up this year to keep things interesting in the canopy. A few tweaks to the format and some new elements in the trees should keep everyone on their toes.
