One of the highlights of the Katikati Festival of Cultures ๐ฉ๐โ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ช this Saturday 5th April will be the Holi Powder Throw ๐๐ at 1pm to the side of the main stage at Moore Park. A Holi Powder Throw is a vibrant and energetic celebration where everyone tosses brightly coloured powders into the air and at each other, creating a fun explosion of colour. Hereโs what you can expect:
๐ A Burst of Colour โ As soon as the countdown hits one, handfuls of coloured powder fill the air, covering everyone in a rainbow of bright hues.
๐ Messy but Fun โ Wearing white clothes is recommended to make the colours pop, but expect to get completely covered in powder! The colours wash out, but old clothes are best.
๐ธ Amazing Photo Opportunities โ The mix of floating colours and happy faces creates stunning and unforgettable photos.
๐จ Non-Toxic & Safe Powders โ The powders are organic, non-toxic and plant-based, making them skin-friendly and safe to breathe (though itโs best to avoid direct inhalation). Wearing sunglasses isnโt necessary โ but you may prefer to wear them.
๐ Inclusive & Interactive โ Everyone is welcome to join in, whether you want to throw powder, dance, or just soak in the energy of the celebration.
๐ฆ Tips for Cleanup โ Bringing a towel or baby wipes can help clean up afterward, and a quick rinse with water usually removes most of the powder from skin and hair.
Itโs all about putting aside of differences and sharing the moment as one, so expect to leave feeling upliftedโand looking like a human rainbow! ๐จโจ
