Kaikoura Seafest is ending. It's been an incredible 23 years, with unforgettable memories, heartwarming support and more laughs than you can throw a crayfish at. Now it's time to pass the baton to the next generation of events that celebrate our growing, unique and diverse region.

We feel we've accomplished what we set out to do: create national pride in our corner of Godzone whilst celebrating all it means to be a kiwi.

To all of our loyal supporters over the years, thank you for joining us on this journey and visiting Kaikoura, our region and yours.

We had a Huge prize to give away this year, thanks to Dive Kaikoura and The Edge. A one-on-one PADI Openwater course, worth $799.
And we have a WINNER: Janina May gets to take the plunge into a magical world when she becomes a fully qualified PADI diver! Not only that, she will be diving in the incredible waters of Kaikoura, which is amazing just by itself. Enjoy Janina, we hope you take some cool photos for us!

Well what a we had this year! We were ready for some celebratin' and so was everyone who joined us. We cannot thank all you gorgeous Seafesters enough for supporting us and visiting our region every year. We hope you don't wait another year to swing into , there is always something incredible to do and unique sights to see here!

We had 3 award winning Breweries at Seafest yesterday. Big congrats to Hamish Jones from Concept Brewing who won most innovative Brewer at the Brewer Guild awards last night. He however didn’t attend the awards as it was more important for him to support Kaikoura and Seafest!! A champion and all round good guy!
Emporium Brewing from Kaikoura also won a gold, silver and bronze!!
Wigram Brewing from Christchurch also won multiple Bronze awards for their beer. Congrats to you too!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended this years Kaikoura Seafest. Despite the persistant rain there was a large turnout of people eager to sample some of the regions finest food and beverages. What an epic day! The food demos @ the Cray Coast Cuisine tent with Jax Hamilton Cooks, incredible sets from Assembly Required, & the ! The costumes and the smiles made the day shine when the sun was hiding, the high spirit of the day was contagious the food & beverages were sooo more-ish 😬😇😚
