Sorry to annouce that we won't be running Matariki Kaiapoi or Kaiapoi Lights in June 2025. The cost to run these events is over $60,000, and as Matariki is a free community event the funding comes from grants, sponsorship, vendor fees, and by running a ticketed Lightpath event. Unfortunately this year we have been unable to raise enough $ to feel comfortable taking the risk on the ticketed event to cover the overall costs. It is a tough year and unfortunately many community events are facing the same challenge. We may look to create something later in the year, or hopefully be back in 2026!
