Last Friday we co-hosted a Road Freight Decarbonisation Update with Linfox at its Māngere headquarters. We heard from a diverse range of stakeholders and experts including: Hiringa and Electric Autobus on energy supply; Go Backload on logistics efficiency; Tyrewise on managing end-of-life tyres; EECA on supporting uptake of low-emission technologies; and Linfox on reducing its carbon footprint across the business, some of which included: solar energy production, lighting, building design, and fleet.

We also launched our new edition of the Green Compact, which you can read here, reflecting our support of several proven strategies to decarbonise New Zealand’s road freight task.

🚛 DAVE CARR MEMORIAL RUN 2026 🚛

Save the date! The Dave Carr Memorial Run is back on Saturday 7 November 2026.

All are welcome – the more the merrier!

🚚 Trucks: $20 donation per Mack Trucks Australia.

There will be a bus available for those who don't have a set of wheels but want to attend and want to ride along - $20 donation / person.

This year there’s a new meeting point at the Protranz Yard, Leggett Road, next to Euromarque Motorsport Park (Ruapuna), with departure at 9am.

A huge milestone for our Lindsay Australia Team.

Across Lindsay Transport and SRT Logistics (part of the Lindsay Australia Group), teams are coming together to bring our new secondary freight operation to life.

This week, our first new starters kicked off their inductions in Mackay.

Behind the scenes, there has been a huge collective effort across Lindsay Australia Group — from Recruitment and HR to Operations, Safety, Training, Payroll, IT, Fleet and our local teams — all working together to recruit, onboard and prepare our new team members for service delivery.

Week 1 of inductions is down, with one more week to go before our first teams hit service delivery on 5 October in Brisbane, Mackay and Bowen.

It’s been a big milestone to reach, and a great example of what happens when we live our values and work together towards a shared goal.

And we’re only getting started. Townsville is next in November, followed by Cairns early next year.

A massive thank you to everyone who has played a part so far — this has truly been a team effort, and it’s been fantastic to see our values in action.
