Part 3: Overnighting layouts 🛏️⚓
You told us you wanted to see overnighting layouts and options, so here we go.

Every Amp is custom built to your spec, and that includes how you sleep aboard.
720 and under: fold down extensions give you a practical bed length without giving up space when you’re out fishing or cruising.
Over 720: there’s room in the bow for a full bed, no extensions needed.

Custom options: bulkheads in the bow can store your gear while doubling as a bed extension, so you get both. The best setup depends on your extras and options.

Compact spaces: the internal layout gets thought out again for every build. Hand rails, electronics mounting panels, overhead and below, it’s all planned around you and always evolving to suit the products and placement.

Why Amp? Part 2 of 2 — Rear Buoyancy in Action.

Talk’s cheap — here’s the extended rear hull doing exactly what it’s built for. Standing on the platform, no stern squat, no drama. That’s reserve buoyancy working for you, not just a spec on paper.

Fish it, board it, load it — the back end’s got you covered.

Why Amp? Part 2 — The Rear Extended Hull.

While we've talked about the bottom of our hulls, why not move onto the rear-end...

Extended rear hull — massive rear platforms, built in!
We extend the hull out the back to give you a genuinely usable rear platform. No tacked-on brackets, no compromise — just more real estate to fish from, dive off, or board from, without worrying about dunking the back end when someone steps on or a wave rolls through.

Extra rear buoyancy — safety built into the shape👌
That extended hull isn't just about platform space — it's extra buoyancy exactly where you need it. That means:
🎣 Fish or load gear off the back without the transom squatting under weight
🏄 Safely board / dive without sinking the stern
⚙️ Confidently run larger, heavier outboards — the extra flotation is built to handle it
🌊 Extra peace of mind if you ever swamp the boat — that reserve buoyancy is working for you

It's another one of those features that doesn't show up on a spec sheet as exciting, but it's the difference between a boat that just floats and a boat that works properly for the way you actually use it.

Why Amp? Let’s start with the hull.

A lot of what makes an Amp an Amp comes down to details other builders skip to keep production numbers up. We’d rather build it right.

1. Bow keel strip — standard on every size from 370 model & up!
Some brands call this an optional extra. We call it standard. Why? It protects your hull when you’re beaching and launching, and it braces the boat against the winch post while you’re travelling on the trailer. It’s a small addition that pays off every time you use the boat — so we don’t make you pay extra for it.

2. Planing strakes — now standard on our new 470 range & Up!
These get left off by a lot of builders too, purely because they add an extra flip in the build process — more time, more labour. But the payoff is real: more load capacity with extra lift, better fuel economy, a faster hole shot onto the plane, and a quieter ride on the pontoons/camber of the hull.

That’s just two features, and they’re both standard on an Amp. Build quality shouldn’t be the “optional extra” — it should be the reason you choose your next boat.

🔥 RARE SCENE AT THE FACTORY 🔥

FOUR new 470s on the go at once — all different builds, including a brand new model for us!

Side by side they look the same right now… but four very different boats are about to roll off this line 👇

🎣 HD – High Sider Dinghy. Entry point into our models, or pure fishing space for the serious angler
🎣 CC – Centre Console (NEW!) 360° fishing, steering wheel for comfort
🌊 FR – Fisher. Cuddy cabin to keep you and your mate out of the wind from A to B
🌊 FR/OJ – Fisher/Outboard Jet. The more extreme 4x4 of the water — Get ya from A to B, then to C in 6 inches of water!

The new CC is up for grabs for the serious angler! — first in, first served on getting your name on the first one off the line!

And keep an eye on this space 👀 If the tighter economy has a new boat out of reach right now, there might be another way in — we’ve got a 470 FR being raffled off by another organisation coming up soon. More details to follow!

Want your own extras or layout in a build? Shout out and let’s build you a weapon 💪

🚨💡A Public Statement from AMP Boats💡🚨

We hear you. We see you. And we sincerely apologise for any confusion caused by our recent boat ramp antics.

To be crystal clear: AMP Boats would never, under any circumstances, hold up another good keen Kiwi from getting in or out of the water — any day, any time. That’s sacred ground.

A few friendly reminders on ramp etiquette while we’re here:
🚤 Prep your boat before you’re on the ramp, not during
🚤 Load/unload swiftly — the ramp is a thoroughfare, not a driveway
🚤 If in doubt, wave the next boat through

We’ve been on the receiving end of other manufacturers blocking ramps for their own testing and content, and frankly — we condemn it. Nobody needs that.

So consider this fair warning: any future stunts like this from us will result in a full pan straight to the top of the ramp, for everyone’s peace of mind. 😅

Thank you for your time, and best of luck next time you’re hitting your local water hole.

It’s raining! You need to get the job done. ☔

We build it easy — and we put the same attention into all our boats and their extras, all designed and built in house.

Fold the roof flat, hitch up, and go. Tight garage or wet boat ramp, this one doesn’t slow you down.

🚀 Long Weekend Vibes are here! 🇳🇿
Hope you’re all kicking back and making the most of his Big birthday!
While we’re winding down for the long weekend, the Amp Boats crew has been flat out — finishing off some extra custom mods on a 920 WM and starting to show off the early build stages of the new 520 FR as it comes together! 🔥
We’ve also been busy rolling out our new 2026 model numbers across the range. You might’ve already cottoned on — the old 5.0 models are now the new 520 series.
What’s changed?
A proper 50mm wider internal beam (doesn’t sound like much… until you’re standing in it — it feels way bigger).
Now one of the widest external beams available in the 16ft / 5m category.
Wider floor = bigger underfloor tank options too (still offering the 75L, but now stepping up to a 100L as well).
Just smarter, practical improvements that actually add value and capability.
The options are seriously endless with Amp Boats, and we’re wrapping up the final updates and new pricing sheets right now.
If you’re in the market for a tough, well-specced aluminium pontoon boat that gives you maximum bang for buck — now’s the perfect time to reach out.
Drop us a message or give us a call. Happy to talk builds, options, and get you sorted for the season ahead.
