✨🫘 Magic beans 🫘 ✨

Children’s activities at the Taikura Fête are paid for using “magic beans” – our special Fête currency for tamariki. Children love to take charge of their bag of beans and make the decisions about how to spend them!

Children’s activities cost between 1 and 5 magic beans and there are over 20 different activities – here are some example costs, to help you plan your bean buying:

🫘 Jousting – 1 magic bean
🫘 Crystal Panning – 2 magic beans
🫘 Coconut Shy – 3 magic beans
🫘 Flower Garlands – 4 magic beans
🫘 Children's Shop (9 years and under) – 5 magic beans

You can purchase magic beans in bags of 8 ($10), 18 ($20), and 28 ($30), using cash or Eftpos, at the front gate and inside the Fête.

✨ Taikura Fête highlight: Mrs Pockets ✨

This Fête favourite is back once again - the Taikura take on a traditional lucky dip.

Mrs Pockets' cape is packed with treasures for children, thanks to whanau from our kindergarten who stock the pockets with beautiful hand crafted items. Children might pull out a felted gnome, embroidered bag, a crystal, or other delightful treasure to take home.

Mrs Pockets will be roving the grounds of Taikura all Fête day, or until sold out. Look for her bright cape and even brighter smile.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Taikura Fête:
